Beyond the sports, cultural, and social events, the European

Universities Games 2024 in Debrecen and Miskolc

hosted the EUSA Forum: “Synergies in university sport

development”, as a key educational initiative.

Under the moderation of Andreas

Csonka, EUSA Executive

Committee Member, the forum

addressed the integration

of synergies and education,

highlighting sport’s potential

to cultivate leadership in a

competitive European context.

Together with invited speakers

we explored how organisations,

institutions and events organisers

cooperate, both on strategical

and project- or event-based

level, what are the challenges

and what are the opportunities of

working together, partnering and

networking.

The event was open to all

participants of the 2024

European Universities Games, as

well as the general public, with

no pre-registration needed, and

no participation fee. It was held

at the Education Center of the

University of Debrecen, on July

13, 2024, followed by the EUSA

Reception.

Foerster, EUSA Vice-President,

highlighting the ongoing

challenges and the need

for further development. He
