Russianson 7 NovembersentamilitarydetachmentfromKazvin
towardTeheranandlandedmoretroopsatEnzeli.
ThusthePersiangovernmentsuddenlyfounditselfin adelicate
situation.TheRussiansthreatenedTeheranmilitarily,nomoneyor
armamentshadarrivedforthePersiansfromGermany,andtheBrit-
ishhadadvancedintoMesopotamiatowithinthirtymilesofBaghdad,
