In Alice in Wonderland, Alice follows a white rabbit down

a rabbit hole and then her strange, trippy journey begins. The white

rabbit represents an idea or concept which could lead to discovery. It

actually pops up in many places including theMatrixfilms,Star Trek,

Jurassic Park, and Stephen King novels. It’s also the pen name of a 24-

year-old high sensation-seeking adventure blogger who views herself

as a white rabbit open to new and different ways to do things.^1

“The white rabbit doesn’t tell you what to do, it shows you,”

she explained. And that’s exactly what she has set out to do. Her

plan? Travel the world for free.

“It’s an idea that started growing when I started hosting on

CouchSurfing,” she said.

CouchSurfing is a website that connects people who need

a place to stay with people who have space in their homes. The idea

is pretty simple. You offer people your couch to sleep on when they

come to visit your city. The website makes money through fees you

pay to become a member. However, once you are verified you don’t

pay any money to Couch Surf. In 2018 there were 15 million mem-

bers registered on CouchSurfing and 400,000 hosts.^2 The White

Rabbit was one of them. Around that same time she got the itch

to travel. But travel can be expensive. So she decided to use her new

found love for CouchSurfing to travel the world.
