Rita P. Wrightis a Professor of Anthropology at New York University. She conducts
field research in Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan, focusing on the Indus civilisation and
third and early second millennium BCtrade. The focus of her research is on South
Asian and Near Eastern urbanism, early states, climate change, ceramics, textiles and
gender issues in archaeology.
