“I wound up with a scrappy border because I was

working with fat quarters (18×21" pieces) so didn’t

have a long enough piece of fabric to complete the

border,” associate editor Diane Tomlinson says.

“I made-do, cutting fi fty two 4¾" squares from the

fat quarters.”

Vicki Hoth, Handi Quilter Studio Educator, used two

layers of batting, an 80/20 and an all wool, and a

50-weight, three-ply polyester thread (So Fine by

Superior Threads) to complete the project.
