lightyearsfromEarth.Theylieintwoofthe
mostoverlookedconstellations– CanesVenatici
andComaBerenices.Allarelovelysightsinlarge
telescopesanddeservetobeseenjustasmuchas
winter’smorefamous‘celebrity’featuressuchas
theOrionNebulaandHorseheadNebula.Indeed,
NGC4565,theNeedleGalaxy,isoneoftheloveliest
galaxiesinthesky,farmoreimpressivethanmany
muchbetter-knownedge-ongalaxiessuchasM82.
