Poznan University Sports
Association (AZS Poznan)
celebrated its 100th anniversary
with a glamorous Gala event
at the University of Adam
Mickiewicz Aula in December,
where a number of individuals
were recognised for their
excellence and contribution. The
event allowed AZS Poznan to
reflect on their major milestones
over the past century, which
were not solely limited to
university sports, but also
contributed to the growth of
both youth and professional
sport. A number of Merit awards,
Badges as well as Outstanding
Contribution awards were given
on the night, recognising the
efforts of individuals both past
and present.
Slovak University Sports
Association (SAUS) celebrated
the 100th anniversary of
university sport in Slovakia in
2019 with several activities
throughout the year, culminating
in the anniversary Gala in
Bratislava on December 5.
The 100-year milestone was
commemorated by guests from
Slovakia and abroad, including
representatives of FISU, EUSA,
as well as leaders from other
organisations. The Gala gave
the federation the opportunity
to honour individuals and
organisations who devoted
themselves to the development
of university sport in the country,
as well as to celebrate the
many successes over the past
century. EUSA President Mr
Adam Roczek also presented an
award to the SAUS President
Mr Julius Dubovsky, marking
the important anniversary
and achievements of the
organisation.
