EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES

3X3 BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

PORTO, PORTUGAL

JULY 31-AUGUST 3, 2019

Over 230 participants representing 43 universities from

22 different countries took part in the 2019 European

Universities 3x3 Basketball Championship which took

place on Matosinhos beach in Porto, Portugal.

The competition, which

involved 25 men’s teams and 18

women’s teams, was organised

by FAP Porto’s Academic

Federation, University of Porto

and Polytechnic Institute of

Porto, with the contribution

of the Portuguese Academic

Federation of University Sport

and Porto’s City Council.

EUSA was represented at the

event by Executive Committee

member Mr Milan Zvan,

Technical Delegate Mr Ilan

Kowalski and Assistant Technical

Delegate Ms Jeanine Tjin-A-Sioe.

In the men’s final, Lithuania’s

Vytautas Magnus University

claimed the gold medal after

earning a 21-9 victory against

Portugal’s Polytechnic Institute

of Porto.

In the women’s final, the title

of champions went to Vasyl

Stefanyk University from

Ukraine, who narrowly beat

University of Aveiro 11-10 in the

final.
