are addressed in and through
sport, namely the topics of
dual career, social inclusion
and equal opportunities, skills
development, anti-doping, good
governance and volunteering –
supported by the Erasmus+
programme of the European
Union, as well as activities and
projects supported by European
Solidarity Corps and Mobility in
Sport as preparatory actions.


On the topic of conferences
and meetings, the past EUSA
Conference, Extraordinary
General Assembly, Awards
Ceremony and Gala 2019 were
discussed, evaluated as very
successful and thanks were
again expressed to FADU,


University of Aveiro and the
city for hosting the main EUSA
anniversary events. Executive
Committee members also got
acquainted with the planned
upcoming meetings, as well as
the 2020 General Assembly
which will be held in October in
Yerevan, Armenia.

A presentation on international
cooperation covered updates
from EUSA member
associations, FISU and other
continental federations, as
well as partner and other
organisations. Chairs and
secretaries of the EUSA
Commissions presented their
activity reports and plans
including the Student, Technical,
Equal Opportunities, Education,

Media and Communications
and Finance and Marketing
Commissions.

Addressing future sports events,
the Executive Committee
discussed the European
Universities Championships for
2021 and attributed Handball
to Podgorica, Montenegro –
adding it to the list of previously
attributed events. General
progress reports for the
European Universities Games
2022 and 2024 were also
discussed, while the upcoming
European Universities Games
Belgrade was discussed in more
detail.

The delegation from Belgrade,
composed of Director Mr

Predrag Juskovic, Deputy
Director Ms Anita Dobre, Project
Manager Mr Dragan Atanasov
and Head of Sport Department
Ms Ana Todoric, presented in
detail the activities and plans for
the upcoming period.

Following the EUSA Supervision
Commission’s recent visit to
Belgrade, special emphasis
was focused on the feedback
from these meetings, with great
satisfaction expressed over the
preparations for EUG2020.
