her mother, and developed a passion
formedicine.Becominga medical
secretarywashernextstepand,inthe
courseofhercareer,shediscovered
thedevastatingimpacta strokecould
haveonpeopleandtheirfamilies.She
sawthatresearchandtreatmentwere
vastlyunder-funded,andshedecided
toremember the Stroke Association
in her Will.Sylvia’sgifthashelpedfundourwork
toconquerstroke.She’ssupported
researchtopreventandtreatstroke,
andshe’shelpedcareforsurvivors.
