American Teen Wins His Third All-Ireland

Dancing Championship

GREENVILLE, OH, March 17, 2012. Drew Lovejoy, 17, has won

the all-Ireland dancing championship in Dublin, Ireland, for

the third straight year. Lovejoy started dancing at the age

of 6, but only when he happened to go to an Irish dance

competition in Indianapolis with a friend did he get hooked

on this form. Although some people in his farming com-

munity bullied him, he persevered. “I was like, ‘I want a

medal,’” he said. Drew Lovejoy is not only the first American

to win three championships, but also the first person of

color: Drew’s father, from Georgia, is black and his mother,

from Iowa, is white. Drew’s mother, Andee Goldberg, says

“They don’t even know he’s Jewish. I think it would be too

overwhelming.”

Hugh Hefner Marries Crystal Harris

on New Year’s Eve

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, January 1, 2013. Hugh Hefner, 86, mar-

ried Crystal Harris, 26, at the Playboy Mansion last night.

It is his third marriage and, he says, he saved the best

for last—he is now a happy, committed, one-woman man.

Hefner scoffs when people comment on their 60-year age
