he Ram Janmabhoomi or
Ayodhya dispute is a long
pending socio-religious, legal and
political matter in India. The issue
revolves around the claim of Hindus
to a plot of land in Ayodhya, that is
traditionally consider as a birthplace of
lord Ram, which at present is disputed
due to the location of the ruins of
demolished Babri Mosque at the site.
In 1528 AD, the Babri Mosque was
constructed by Mir Baqi, then governor
of the Awadh region, at the order of
Babur himself allegedly after destroying
a pre-existing temple of lord Ram at
the site. This Mosque came to known
as Masjid-e-Janamasthan (Mosque at
the birthplace) and later as Babri Masjid
(Babur’s Mosque). Interestingly during
the year 1528 AD the Jupiter was
transiting from Cancer giving aspect
to the Capricorn i.e. Makar the sign
which signifies the India as per great
astrologer Varahamihira. The transiting
Saturn was in Aries then influencing
the Capricorn from its 10th aspect.
In Ayodhya dispute the first
recorded issue of violence between the
Hindus and Muslims over the matter
of Ram Janmabhoomi in modern times
took place in 1853 when a Hindu sect
called Nirmohis claim the structure for
building a Ram temple there. After the
numerous incidents of violent clashes
between the two communities during
1853-55 the British government, ruling
India then, put up an outer enclosure
in front of the Masjid in 1859 and thus
forbidden the access of Hindus to the

inner yard. Thereafter, the Hindus could
only make the offerings (Prayers) on
the Ram Chabootra that they have
raised outside the Babri Masjid earlier.
During the year 1853, the transiting
Saturn was in Aries influencing the
Makar (Capricorn), the zodiacal sign
of India. Jupiter came to the sign
Capricorn in year 1854 only.
In the independent India, the
Ayodhya dispute ignited for the first
time when on the night of 22-12-1949
some Hindu nationalist broke into the
Babri Masjid and placed idols of Ram
inside. People led to believe that the
idols of Ram have appeared
‘miraculously’. Then Prime Minister of
India Jawaharlal Nehru insisted that
the idols of Ram should be removed.
However, the local administration
refused to carry out orders citing the
concern of a possible communal riot
between Hindus and Muslims. The
police locked the gate of Babri Masjid
but the idols of Ram remain inside
and only Hindu priests were allow to
entry for daily worship. Since then the
Babri Masjid became a de facto
temple and both parties (Hindus and
Muslims) filed civil suits staking their
respective claim at the cite. At the time
of this important event the Jupiter was
transiting from Capricorn the 9th house
of Indian Independence chart given
here. In Vimshottari the Saturn-Mercury
period was in operation then. Saturn
is the lord of 9th house in the Indian
Independence chart. Mercury is placed
in the 9th house in the Navamsha.
