having her badly. Now they have filed
suit for divorce. Two points have been
raised in this case. First- what Jupiter
in lagna did and second, what is the
fate of native towards marriage and
married life. Shri Kalia is also of the
opinion that the 7th lord Venus with
Rahu in the 11th house is not suffi-
cient to spoil her life.
In my view the debilitation of
Venus as lord of the 7th in the 11th
with Rahu is not a small thing.
Whereas the Venus is lord of the 7th,
she is also significator of married and
sex life (Jupiter is 'karka' of husband).
Saturn, lord of the 3rd and 4th houses
also aspects this combination from
the 2nd house. No other planet is
connected with it. Rather we can say,
the 7th lord is annihilating the pros-
pects of the married life. In support
of my views, I quote a verse from the
Sukha Nadi, saying, 'An unfaithful and
disloyal spouse is indicated if the 7th
house is owned by Venus as Venus
is related to malefics and is in ma-
lefic's navamsa." Venus will be the 7th
lord only when Aries or Scorpio is
rising. Stress on being Venus as the
7th lord is only because she is
significator of married life. Though, in
the present case, Venus is posited in
a friend's navamsa, his position in the
birth chart is too much deteriorating.
Moreover, the lord of rising sign- Mars
is combust in the 12th house. This
indicates sometimes rash thinking.
Thus if the Jupiter had not been in the
Lagna, the native's whole life could be
miserable and it might have reduced
her longevity. Further, how Jupiter could
save the married life of the native
while only having aspect on the 7th
house Lord of 7th (partner) Venus
debilitation with Rahu shows the
character of the husband also in this
case, which is very clear.
Above all, fuel was added to the
fire by dasa of Rahu which started in

1973. The 7th lord in the dual sign and
      in the Moon chart, the 7th lord in the
      Lagna in a moveable sign, indicate
      possibility of more than one marriage.
      As far as future of the native is
      concerned, she must be very careful.
      Venus with Rahu and in the Moon
      chart, the 7th lord in the rising sign
      show the influence of the opposite
      sex. As the lagna lord Mars is combust
      in a 'dusthana' - the 12th house, and
      the Moon is occupying a cardinal sign,
      the native is advised not to take any
      decision in haste. Presently, Venus
      bhukti and after this the Sun and Mars
      sub periods are also not too much
      encouraging. It will be the Jupiter dasa
      which brings stability and happiness.
      In fact Jupiter's good effect will be
      visible only during his dasa.
      I have also few other cases in my
      files, where Jupiter is occupying the
      rising sign and the results are differ-
      ent. See here, another case of a
      female, who is still unmarried despite
      the Jupiter's position in the Lagna.
