Skeleton is the minimalist aesthetic to the extreme, yet beautiful.
Skeleton from Twitter’s Dave Gamache is a whole responsive
boilerplate that includes some gorgeous basic styling. Devoid of
textures, images and non-system fonts, Skeleton illustrates just
how effective minimal design can be, but it leaves plenty of room
for adding your own style.
It also uses media queries to execute a number of fixed width
layouts, as opposed to altering a completely fluid design. The four
states take all devices, resolutions, and orientations into account,
simplifying the whole build process. Playing with just four set
widths means fewer breaking points and fewer decisions to make.
