From the Chats screen tap the green
New Chat icon (bottom right of the
screen) to enter the WhatsApp contact list.
Device specific features may be integrated
into WhatsApp, however the core WhatsApp
method here, is the best way to begin.2
Choose from one of your contacts and
tap their profile name not their profile
image, if, however, you accidentally tap their
profile image, it’s not difficult to come out of
the new view, simply tap outside of the pop-

The essence of WhatsApp is of course messaging and since
you now have your profile set up and added some contacts, it’s
actually time to send your first message.
