Humans may travel to the Moon again in
2024, and as part of its preparations NASA
has retrieved old Apollo mission samples from the
archives. Today, it is possible to analyse the Moon
dust more accurately than it was back in the 1970s,
and that might help plan the future missions. Far
more detailed X-rays can be taken now, making it
easier to identify the exact contents while avoiding
any harm to the samples as they are examined.
