ofFairfax County’spublicly ownedtreatment works,was found to
beinsignificantnon-compliancewithitssewer dischargepermit
andChapter 67.1 of the CountyCode. Alexandria Coatings,LLC
violated thepermit and the codebyfailing to submitareport
consisting of certified design plans andspecifications for an upgraded
wastewater pretreatment system within 30 daysofthe due date in
accordance with the permit and Sections 67.1-3-1 and 67.1-8A-1of
the Code.FairfaxCounty responded by issuinganotice of violation
andordered AlexandriaCoatings,LLC to showcause why the County
should nottake furtherenforcement actiontocompelcompliance.
Alexandria Coatings,LLC presentedacorrective action planthat
describedreasonable actionstoachievecompliance, and, asaresult,
FairfaxCountydecided further enforcement action wasunnecessary.
Alexandria Coatings,LLC subsequently submitted the required report,
andiscurrently in compliance withthe sewer discharge permit and
FairfaxCountyCode.
