recruiting two non-tenure track Associate Professors to join the faculty in the
DepartmentDepartmentDepartment of of of of Preventive Preventive Medicine and Population Health (PMPH). The mission
ofofof this this department department department is is to apply interdisciplinary expertise toward improving health
and function and reducing health inequities across communities. The successful
candidate will join an interdisciplinary faculty group that that that engage engage in research,
clinical and community service as well as the teaching of of of graduate graduate students,
medical students and other other other health health professions trainees.(1)Clinical Associate Professor, Professor, Professor, Non-Tenure Non-Tenure Track- Clinical Responsibilities: Serving as the Medical Director Director Director of of of of the the Aerospace
Medicine Center Center Center (the (the aerospace medicine clinic at at at UTMB). UTMB). - Educational Responsibilities: Serving as the Director Director Director for for for for the the medical school
aerospace medicine track. - Supports grants and contracts related to aviation and space medicine.
(2) Associate Professor of of of Aerospace Aerospace Medicine- The selected candidate will serve as the Associate Director Director Director of of of of the the Aerospace
Medicine Residency Program and Combined Internal Medicine/Aerospace
Medicine Residency Program. - Clinical responsibilities include conducting pilot pilot pilot aviation aviation medical
examinations, spaceflight participant medical evaluations and more. - SupportSupportSupport grants grants and contracts related to aviation and space medicine.
Candidate Requirements: - M.D., D.O., M.P.H. or or or equivalent equivalent equivalent equivalent degree. degree.
- Board certification in a clinical medicine discipline such as Internal Medicine,
Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine. - Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Preventive Medicine
(for(for(for Aerospace). Aerospace). - Texas Medical License or or or ability ability to obtain such license within 3 months of of of start start.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in practice of Aviation or Occupational
Medicine preferred.
