The reality star
turned paranormal
investigator, 34,
returns with a new
season of Travel
Channel’s Portals
to Hell (Fridays,
10 p.m.).
When did you
first become
interested in
ghosts?
When I was a kid,
we had a house in
Malibu, and doors
would open by
themselves. My dad
[Ozzy] and I saw a
woman run down
the stairs, and no
one was there.
What has this
show taught you
about the
paranormal?
I think I have more
questions than
answers now—I
don’t think ghosts
are what we think
they are.
To switch to more
normal things—
how do you stay
balanced now?
Truth be told, I’ve
been sober a really
long time and not
drinking or doing
drugs and going
down that rabbit
hole again. That’s
probably kept me
most grounded.

TV | Spy Wars with
Damian Lewis
DOCUSERIESHomeland turncoat Damian
Lewis hosts this new true-life series
about espionage. First up, the case of
Oleg Gordievsky, a KGB agent posted in
Denmark who went to work for Great
Britain. The details are arrestingly odd, as
they tend to be in good spy stories:
Danish intelligence first approached him
while he was at his daily game of badmin-
ton. (Smithsonian, March 22, 8 p.m.)
MUSIC | Soccer Mommy,
Color Theory
ROCKSophie Allison’s second album
as Soccer Mommy raises her whip-
smart lyricism and irresistible melodies
to new heights. Ruminative seven-minute
centerpiece “Yellow Is the Color of Her
Eyes” is the 22-year-old’s most
ambitious track yet. (Available now)
