When you walk into Lamorne Morris’s sprawling
Los Angeles home, there is a palpable sense of fun.
It’s something we all need these days, and for the
actor, it’s the result of a two-year renovation that
transformed his modern Spanish-style property
into a cool, open-floor plan with retractable glass
walls that seamlessly connect indoors and out.
But it’s the cheeky neon lights, candy machines
and an arcade game that reveal the playful spirit—
and passions—of its owner. Take the entryway,
for example, where the actor, 36, who starred as
Winston Bishop on the sitcom New Girl alongside
Zooey Deschanel, proudly displays “the greatest
game of all time,” an NBA Jam console. Nearby
candy store-style dispensers are stocked full with
M&M’s, Skittles and Jelly Bellies. “They kind of
match the color scheme, but they’re also a dis-
traction,” he says jokingly. “People are so focused
on the candy, they don’t focus on the game.” The
sporty theme flows into the rest of the house as

Slice of Life
The showman doesnÕt just

friends, he sabers them.
