OMAN’S Enterprise
Scotland is again
partnering with
Business Insider on
the Women’s Enterprise Scotland
Annual Awards.
The awards programme will
look for the best women-led
enterprises and female business
leaders to scoop up this
year’s accolades.
The broad-based awards are
open to businesses in different
sectors, in different areas of the
country and at varying stages of
development and growth.
The awards recognise the
contribution that women are
making to different parts of the
economy and the business base,
to hail those achievements and
encourage others to blaze their
own trail.
Carolyn Currie, chief executive
of Women’s Enterprise Scotland
said: “We are delighted to be
working again with Insider on
the Women’s Enterprise Scotland
Awards. At its heart, the awards are
about visibility and recognition.
“By giving visibility to the
incredible contribution which
Scotland’s women business leaders
are making to the economy, we
are providing role models for the
many other women across the
country who are looking to start
up and grow their own businesses.

“In addition, the impressive
achievements of the women
entrepreneurs who are running
and growing so many incredible
businesses across Scotland
rightfully deserve recognition
and the awards allow us to shine a
spotlight on their work and show
what’s possible.”
Last year’s awards attracted a
record number of entries from
women-led firms up and down
Scotland.
They featured finalists from the
very experienced with 20-plus
years of experience in business to
early stage businesses.
The individual leaders ranged
from those who founded their own
businesses, who have successfully
taken over family firms and those
who are working in partnership
with other women or their
partners, whether for profit or
