What are Note
Blocks?
Note blocks can bemadebycrafting
together eight woodenplanks and one
pile of redstonedust using the pattern
shown below. You can use anytypeof
wood, in anycombination!
Once placed, a note blockwillplay a
sound whenit’s hit bya player or if itgets
powered bya redstonecharge.
Note blocks don’t appear anywhere in the
Overworld, so there’s noway to get one
otherthanbycraftingit!Instruments
Note blocks can play fi ve instruments,
andthe sound they make depends onthe
material of the blockBENEATH them:
Wooden blocks(logs, planks, crafting
tables) = the bass guitar.
Sand and gravelblocks= the snaredrum.
Glass-based blocks= short clicks andtaps.
Stone-based blocks(stone, cobblestone,
furnaces) =the bass drum
All other blocks= the piano/harp.Pitch
Aswell as selecting the instrument, you
can changethe pitch of the note played
bypressingthe “Use” button onthe note
block. This willslightly changethe colour
of the note toindicate that it’s been
adjusted. There are 25 notes, so with fi ve
instruments that meansyou can play a
