Finishing Touches
Now all that remains is a bit of postprocessing. Save your work up to this point. We’ll cre-
ate a new document that consists of all the active layers collapsed into one. Click Layer →
Flatten Layers to collapse them into one. Make sure you have saved your layered document
first! Save this new document as flattenedComposite_001.psd.
An alternative to collapsing all the layers in a single document is collapsing the layers
into a new flattened layer. This has the benefit of keeping your working layers together
in the current document while creating a single flattened version of all layers at the top
of the stack. This technique can be beneficial if you want to maintain easy access to all
your layers while working on a flattened version. To flatten a copy of all layers, press
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E.
