sounds familiar. Written
by Frances HodgsonBurnett in 1911, many people
would have read this book as a
child – or an adult, as I did. The
Secret Garden tells the story of
ten-year-old Mary Lennox (Dixie
Egerickx). Born in India, she is
sent to live with her reclusive
uncle(ColinFirth) on a remote
country estate in Yorkshire after
she avoids the cholera epidemic
that kills her wealthy British
parents. When she discovers her
sickly cousin (Edan Hayhurst),
who has been shut away, the two
oddballs discover a magical secret
garden that will change their lives.
Also starring Julie Walters as the
