1.Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons aren’t
actually brothers. First meeting at school
in London, years later they headed to
university in Manchester, before working on
music together.
2.The duo was originally known as The
Dust Brothers, in homage to the American
hip-hop producers of the same name.
They changed their name after being
threatened with legal action by the
original Dust Brothers.
3.They created an official song for the
velodrome of London’s 2012 Olympic Village.
4.They wrote the soundtrack for the 2011
movie Hanna, starring Saoirse Ronan.
5.The Chemical Brothers have won four
Grammy Awards, and been nominated for a
further seven.
