WHY APPLE DOESN’T NEED
TO BE WORRIED

There are two schools of thought on how Apple,
as it prepares to launch Apple TV+, will fare
against Disney+. Along with Warner, which will
launch its WarnerMedia streaming service before
the end of the year, as new services they could
stand to be the biggest losers, with another
attractive option to compete against almost as
soon as they become available.

Effectively, Apple TV+ and WarnerMedia’s service
are both untested, whereas Netflix is practically
an established part of the 21st-century zeitgeist,
and Disney is, well, Disney. But this brings us
onto the second school of thought, because
similarly, Apple is Apple. While Apple TV+ may
not be immediately alluring to the average
Netflix subscriber, Disney+ and Netflix viewers
alike will still want to continue enjoying the best
viewing experience in the months and years to
come. That may mean acquiring Apple mobile
devices, Apple interfaces, and Apple products
integrated with home cinema systems.

In truth, without Apple-quality products,
streaming services may not have become as
popular as they are. Furthermore, as the release
date of Disney+ has long been anticipated,
you can be sure that Apple’s decision to launch
Apple TV+ has also been carefully considered,
and will not be too significantly affected by the
extra competition.
