tight on the Honda’s high pegs and
to make matters worse, the knee
armour, although adjustable for
position, rode up as well, making
things a bit uncomfortable and
feeling a bit vulnerable. In the drag
test, the use of a straight cotton
outer material showed up — there
weremultipleholesintheouter
skin,thoughtheworstoccurred
onthefourthoftheindividual
tests. All holes were on top of
the Kevlar reinforcement but two
straddled the edge, which may be
enough to suggest you might be a
bit sore after a big slide.

the downside is that the armour
tended to move around a bit and
the excess material did start to
flap at speed. A decent quality
product, though at the higher end
of the price spectrum. In the drag
test, they held up well for the first
twoslides,withdamage appearing
butnoholes.However,thethird
andfourthdragsrevealedmore
damage, mostly protected by the
Kevlar inner but with several holes
below the panels, meaning flesh
could have been exposed to the
road under these circumstances.

meant sitting down could be
potentially impossible for some
time after a big slide.
