morewindblastthantheBMW,andthe
Ducatipicksupmorevibesfromits
V-twinthantheGSdoesfromitstwin
— withoutbeingengagedinthebusiness
ofriding,enginevibrationbecomesa lot
morenoticeableasa pillion.
Meanwhile,theGShasa greatersense
ofmassandsolidity,betterisolatedfrom
theroadandwithsoftersuspension
(andanautopreloadset-up)— theDucati
isa lighterandmoreexcitablerideatthe
back.ButtheDucati’scontouredgrab
railsarea classabovetheBMW’s
aluminiumtubes(whichformpartofthe
reartopboxrack)andfeelmoresecure.
AbigsurpriseishowtheBMW’sslow
anddeliberatequickshifteraffectsthe
