the extras packages. The hardest thing
to find is a completely standard base
model (with just ABS, traction control
and two riding modes). According to
BMW, just 2% of Rs sold in the UK over
the years have been standard models.
For that 2%, the Sport package (not to
be confused with the separate Sport
model), adds two extra riding modes
(Dynamic and Dynamic Pro) as well as
a quickshifter, cruise control and more
sophisticated ABS. It was a £1000
option, so well worth having. Although
in theory the original buyer could have
kept adding goodies to that spec, in

add-ons.SoyoustartwiththeSport

wheels,lookoutforBMW’soptional
forgedraceversions— theywerea

genuineBMW/Akrapovicsilenceris
a desirableoptiononearlierbikes
(standardfrom 2017 on).
