  1. Create a chart that lists the four leadership styles described in this chapter
    (directive, participative, supportive, and achievement oriented). Evaluate the
    leaders of each of the different groups in which you participate—your boss at
    work, your professors, your resident assistant in the dorm—in terms of their
    leadership style. Where do they fall on your chart? Do some fit more than one
    category? Do some fit none of the categories?

  2. Select a city, state, or campus problem that is relevant to the members of your
    class. Form a group to solve the problem using the six-step decision-making
    process described in this chapter.
