THE SILVERSTONE EXPERIENCE
It’sthefirst new major motor sport museum
toopen in years
Halfa decade in the making, the Silverstone
Experience is a permanent celebration of British
motor sport at the home of the British GP,
blending a historic setting with high-tech displays.
Flat out with Murray Walker
Central to the new museum is a groundbreaking
audio-visual experience which replicates the
visceral power of racing from the driver’s-eye
view through the ages, with Murray Walker
providing inimitable commentary.
Discover the old circuit
The Heritage Track Trail combines motor sport
heritage with a country walk, discovering old
circuit landmarks and parts of the original 1948
venue no longer in use.
Part of ‘Motor Sport Valley’
And amid the on-track heroics, the new museum
heralds the importance of race engineering
to the economy and society across the
British Midlands, with in-depth exhibitions on
the technology and innovators behind the
development of the racing car.
Want to visit?
The museum is scheduled to open its doors
for the first time on Saturday June 1. Adult
tickets cost £20 in advance, £25 on the gate,
with a multitude of concessions and discounts
