Recognize that meal kits are a trade-off: They save you
time, but you are one step removed from the source.
When using meal kit services, do what you can to
stay connected to the sources of your food. For exam-
ple, save the recipe cards and remember that you’ve
already successfully cooked that meal, then go buy or
order the ingredients yourself. Try alternating weeks:
meal kits for those when you have really busy stretches
at work versus regular cooking during those that are
lighter.
