Childish Gambino
Donald Glover’s fourth studio album under
the stage name Childish Gambino is a
decidedly mercurial one, playing with dark
hues and disjointed sound effects. It’s a
project that forces listeners to seek freedom
in chaos, at a time when this value seems
especially pertinent for the world.
FIVE FACTS:
- Donald McKinley Glover Jr. was born
at Edwards Air Force Base, California, on
September 25, 1983. - He was subsequently raised in Stone
Mountain, Georgia, with his mother being
a retired daycare provider, and his father a

the website donaldgloverpresents.com on
March 15, 2020, only to be taken down 12
hours later. - It was eventually released to streaming
services under its present title on March 22. - 3.15.20 has met with widespread acclaim,
Consequence of Sound’s Okla Jones stating
that “Glover’s willingness to experiment with
different sounds and harmonies is evidence
that things either foreign or unknown need
not be feared, but embraced.”
