The Scale runs on four AAA batteries, which are
included in the box. Some smart bathroom scales
feature a rechargeable battery, including the
QardioBase 2 and the Withings Body Cardio, but both
of those retail for $150.

The Scale connects to your phone via Bluetooth, not Wi-
Fi, as some pricier smart models do. Getting it
connected to your phone is simple. Download the Wyze
app (available for Android and iOS), click Add a
Product, select the Scale from the list, and follow the
instructions that appear. The Scale comes with a handy
quick-start guide explaining how to set it up.

When you add the Scale to the Wyze app, you need to
¿OOLQ\RXUVH[ELUWK\HDUDQGKHLJKWDQG\RXFDQ
optionally enable Athlete mode. Wyze suggests enabling
Athlete mode if you work out more than 10 hours a
week and have a resting heart rate below 60bpm.

You then place the Scale on a hard surface and step on
it with bare feet. You’ll see your weight on the device
itself and in the app.
