The Scale works as soon as you step on it, and you don’t have to keep your
phone in your hand while weighing yourself to sync your metrics to the app. The
next time you open the Wyze app and it connects to the Scale via Bluetooth, all
of your latest measurements automatically sync.
To get the most accurate results, Wyze recommends weighing yourself around
the same time every day, keeping the Scale on a hard, even surface (not
carpeting or uneven tile), always standing on it with bare feet (no socks), and
making sure your knees don’t touch. Also be sure to stand as still as possible.
APP FEATURES
The Scale’s display shows only your weight and body fat percentage, so you
need the Wyze app to see additional metrics, including your basal metabolic
rate, body mass index, body water percentage, bone mass, heart rate, lean body
mass, metabolic rate, muscle mass, protein, and visceral fat.
If you’re not sure what some of the metrics mean, you can click them for more
information, a useful feature that can save you a Google search. According to
the app, visceral fat, for instance, is “a type of body fat that’s stored within the
abdominal cavity.” Basal metabolic rate is “the minimum level of energy your

“calculated by comparing your basal metabolic rate with the average BMR of
your age group.” For the record (and bragging rights), it says that my metabolic
age is three years younger than I actually am.
