Member Challenge 35 | Winner
We asked you to look up and show us your best shots
taken from below. So many subjects can be captured
from a low vantage point to create amazing images,
and that was proven by the many different and wonder-
ful types of entries we received, from macro to wildlife,
landscapes, portraits, and product photography.
The winner of Challenge 35 is Lutz Lutzenberger!
We’d expect to find this type of photo on one of Scott
Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walks. Lutz uses something as
simple as hanging laundry to force you to look up. This
shot, taken in the old town of Havana, makes the top of
our list. Congratulations to Lutz for winning our From
Below Member Challenge!
The theme of our next challenge is Impactful Images.
We’ve seen a lot of great photographs here at KelbyOne!
You’ve mastered the shutter speed, ISO, F-stop settings,
and composition. You’re rocking your leading lines, rule
of thirds, and that golden ratio. Many photographers
check off all of these boxes with their image, but some-
times images fall just short in terms of storytelling power.
So for this challenge, we want you to pull at our heart-
strings and inspire us with a photo that tells a story. Use
your knowledge of composition, dramatic lighting, or
gesture and take the viewer on an emotional journey.

Two-Day Flash Photography Workshop
with Scott Kelby
Join Scott Kelby for a two-day all-inclusive, action-
packed, interactive photography experience. This will be
an extraordinary hands-on workshop that will inspire,
inform, and challenge you to try new techniques, new
ways of thinking, and to do things photographically you
never thought you could.
You’ll come away with a real understanding of light,
plus the experience of working with great models in
the studio and on location. By the time you leave, you’ll
have the confidence to know which type of light to use
in which situations, and you’ll pack up with some really
incredible images for your portfolio.
This workshop was designed to maximize interactivity
and individual learning, so to make sure everyone gets
one-on-one assistance, the workshop is limited to 15
participants. Visit kelbyonelive.com/workshop now for
more details, but hurry before all of the spots are filled!
This next photo just screams majestic. Our runner-up
shot, from member Dan Bateman, captures an eagle
soaring against a beautiful cloudy sunset sky. We abso-
lutely love it!
