Perfect Timing: Some
venues offer drastic discounts
depending on when you plan on
getting married. Weekdays or during
the winter season can work out a lot
cheaper than in-season rates.
Morning weddings work
out cheaper than lunch or
dinner weddings.
An Open
Bar: Having an
open bar at a wedding is seen by some
as ‘proper etiquette’ – after all, your
guests shouldn’t have to pay for their
own beverages. However, an open
bar can quickly run into thousands.
Having a bar with beer and wine only
is a great way to save. In addition, if
the venue allows you to bring your
own wine and only pay a corkage fee,
you could purchase your wine and
champagne more affordably and only
pay for the bottles that were opened.
