TIPS
CELEBRITY trainers have shared some tips for
brides-to-be:
 Up your protein intake.
 Focus on refined carbohydrates like brown rice,
sweet potatoes and quinoa.
 Get your daily intake of fibre.
 Never skip the most important
meal of the day: breakfast!
 Eating little and often
is key.
 Don’t eliminate
foods; eat them in
moderation.
 Limit your alcohol.
 Focus on the goal.

THE VERDICT
THE aim is to eat as clean as possible – but
you do have to actually eat! Control your
portions, stick to what your body needs
and enjoy certain foods in moderation.
While staying active is always important, it’s
vital not to starve yourself in the hope of
looking your thinnest ever; no one wants a
skinny bride. Start meal prepping from now,
follow a healthy eating plan, and research
recipes in advance, say nutritionists. And
give yourself time to shed those extra kilos
by determining your timeline and accepting
a realistic number. It’s also important to
feed yourself well in the week leading up
to your big day – you need to stay fuelled
during this busy time. “Not eating enough
can sabotage your wedding weight-loss
efforts just as much as overeating can,”
stress experts! Rather consider the type of
calories you consume. Be wise and you’ll
look absolutely beautiful.
