- Drag the saw back to the composite background. Now that
we’ve cleaned up the edges, press and hold the Control key (�
key) and drag the saw selection back to the Ad composite.psd
file again. This time, as you can see in Figure 3-47, the edge
artifacts are much less noticeable. And while the saw may not
look realistic in its new environment, it’s perfectly acceptable
for the unrealistic world of a saw and a hand floating in front
of an advertisement backdrop!
Congratulations on making your way through the varied world
of Photoshop selections. As you’ve now seen, selections involve
much more than moving things or recomposition. They allow you
to apply the many useful features of the program to specific parts
of your image, while leaving areas outside the selection unaffected.
