- Carefully paint the spot at the corner of her mouth. Reduce
the brush size to 10 pixels and carefully paint over the splotch,
as shown in the top image in Figure 4-26. Because we’re cloning
from a nearby area, the edit is likely to cause a telltale repetition
of pattern or edge detail that even amateur Photoshop-forensic
experts are on the lookout for these days. (The repeating edge
is right there next to the original.) In fact, you can see in my
example in the bottom image of Figure 4-26 that the cloned area
looks suspiciously like the area directly to the left.
