- Reveal the entire contents of the layer. Now that we’ve left some
digital breadcrumbs in the form of guides, we can safely look
at the “big layer” contents of the Glass 1 layer (and still be able
to return to our original image boundaries). From the Image
menu, choose Reveal All. Immediately, you will see that there’s
more to this martini glass than originally meets the eye. Notice
in Figure 5-11 that the thumbnails in the Layers panel grow to
accommodate the largest layer, which in this case is Glass 1.
If you’d like to see the thumbnails in their entirety even when they are
not visible in the document, click the icon to open the Layers panel
flyout menu. Then choose Panel Options and choose Entire Document in the
Thumbnail Contents section. Alternately, you can right-click a blank area of
the Layers panel (if you can find one) and choose Clip Thumbnails to Layer
Bounds. Your document will retain its dimensions, but you’ll be able to see
which layers have bonus content.
