  1. Sample the green color. Press the I key to get the eyedropper
    tool, and click anywhere that is already green. By default, the
    eyedropper samples the composite color, so you’re likely to get a
    pale or dark green rather than the bright green from the original
    Colors layer. In Figure 5-19, I’ve clicked a spot (with CS5’s new
    heads-up display for color sampling) that gave me dark green
    for my foreground color (as indicated by the top half-circle of
    the heads-up display), which is not what I want.


Fix this problem in the options bar by choosing Current Layer
from the Sample pop-up menu, as in Figure 5-20. Now when
you click with the eyedropper tool, the color sampler will use
the Colors layer (which should be currently active) and load the
original green as the foreground color.
