Adobe Photoshop CS5 One-on-One

(やまだぃちぅ) #1
Figure 6-34.

Figure 6-35.

  1. Switch to the Red channel. We’ve successfully reduced the
contrast, but we’ve left behind a slight color cast in the image.
In the preceding exercise, you saw how the Levels command al-
lowed you to adjust luminance values in each of the color chan-
nels individually. The same is true for the Curves command.
From the pop-up menu that currently reads RGB, choose Red.
Alternatively, you can press Alt+3 (Option-3) to switch to the
    Red channel.

  2. Place a point in the center and move it manually. Start by
clicking once in the center of the graph, which should set your
Input level to 128. Then press Shift- three times to reduce the
output for the midtones in the Red channel to 98. Your Adjust-
ments panel should look like Figure 6-35.

  3. Switch to the Blue channel. You can choose Blue from the
pop-up menu, or easier yet, press Alt+5 (Option+5) to switch
to the curve for the Blue channel.

  4. Add a point and raise it. Click in the center of the graph at an
Input and Output value of 128, and then press Shift- twice to
raise the Blue midtones to 148.
