• If you’re curious about the underlying infrastructure that
  Photoshop is using to create these distortions, turn on the
  Show Mesh check box in the options bar. I find it distract-
  ing and leave it off.

Bear in mind that puppet warp was introduced in Adobe After Effects, the
motion graphics equivalent of Photoshop. When you’re working with motion
graphics (animation), you have a little more leeway with goofy, cartoony
effects. With a static image in Photoshop, the effects of manipulating limbs
and other objects is just as likely to cause distraction than amusement.
(Unless disturbance is your intention; then you have my blessing.)

Ultimately, I set the pins where you see them in Figure 8-30.

Note that while I was working, I added additional pins to the

feet to elongate the calves.

14. Apply the puppet warp effect. Once you get the puppet po-
    sitioned the way you want it (or copy my pin placement), you
    can either click the in the options bar or simply press Enter
    (Return) to accept your changes.
