Adobe Photoshop CS5 One-on-One

(やまだぃちぅ) #1

  1. Adjust an image independently. Since our little subject is exit-
ing the tube in the first three shots, a certain amount of natural
light is on her face. But the last image captures her in what has
to be the coolest (colorwise) environment possible, while she’s
still in the blue light of the tube. So it’s hardly surprising that
the fourth photo in our group requires individual attention.
Click the fourth thumbnail in the filmstrip area, Heart art_04.
dng, to select that one image. Press the Tab key to select the
Temperature value, and then significantly warm up the image
by pressing Shift+ until you reach 25150 (holding the Shift
key moves the value in 500-degree increments). That’s a little
too far, so release the Shift key and press the key three times
to reach a value of 25000. (Without the Shift key, the value
    moves in 50-degree increments.)

  2. Adjust the tint. Once you’ve changed the temperature, you’ll
notice a slight magenta cast in her skin tone (previously obscured
by the unrelenting blue). Press the Tab key to jump down to the
Tint value, and compensate for the magenta by pressing Shift+
once to move the Tint slider to –15. You can see the results
    in Figure 9-10.
