Adobe Photoshop CS5 One-on-One

(やまだぃちぅ) #1
The real Bridge needs to be running for the Mini Bridge to work. If you
didn’t already have the Bridge open, the Mini Bridge would warn you
that it was “disconnected” and present you with the appropriate button
to launch the Bridge.

  1. Browse to the I Deke file. When you evoke browsing in the
Mini Bridge, you’ll see a dual-pane Navigation pod (as Adobe
calls it). The Favorites, Recents, and Collections entries on
the right (as in Figure 9-32 ) are determined by what you have
been doing in the Bridge proper. Click Recent Folders in the
right-hand pane. Since you began this exercise with the Pan-
orama folder, you should be able to find and click said folder
in the list of recently viewed folders on the left. (Oddly, they
are listed alphabetically.) When you do so, the Content panel
displays the thumbnails from that folder. Click the I Deke.psd
    thumbnail to select it.

You can reset the Recent Folders and Recent Files list only from the
main Bridge. The Mini Bridge will sync accordingly. (If you want to
reset either Recent Folders or Recent Files in the Bridge, go to the full
application, click the fourth icon in the top row, and choose either of
the Clear Recent options from the pop-up menu).

  1. Drag me into the panorama. One of the great features of the
Mini Bridge is that you can drag-and-drop to place files from
the Mini Bridge’s Content panel into an existing Photoshop
document. Drag I Deke.psd into the panorama. The default
behavior when placing from the Mini Bridge is to bring in the
new image as a smart object, so you’ll be presented with the
familiar smart object box shown in Figure 9-33. Press Enter
    (Return) to accept the placement.
