it to black by clicking in the lower-left corner of the
Color Picker, and then click OK. Set the Blend Mode
to Multiply, the Opacity to 100 percent, and the Size
value to 35. Then click OK again to exit the Layer
Style dialog box.


  1. Save your image. Press Ctrl+Shift+S (�-Shift-S) and
    save your work as Lips in Space.psd. Click OK. The
    wonderful results of our double-masking Color Range
    endeavor are shown in Figure 10-16.


Masking with the Calculations Command


Over the course of the next three exercises, we’ll be working with
the same image, demonstrating how a powerful set of Photoshop
features can be used together to overcome an extremely problem-
atic masking problem.
