- Select the path. When you activate the path in the panel,
you’ll see a solid outline appear around the arms and torso.
Press the A key to get the black arrow tool (officially called the
path selection tool, but I like to call it what it is). Click with
the black arrow tool on that outline, and you’ll see a series of
anchor points come to life along the path, as in Figure 10-25.
These points and their frequent companions, the control
handles (which you’ll see in a moment), define the outline of
the path. At the moment, all points appear as solid squares
to show that they’re selected.

- Examine the unfinished path. If you zoom into the lower-left
quadrant of the image, you’ll notice that the prebaked path I
created for you isn’t quite finished. I haven’t traced the area
under her right arm (on the left side of the image). We’ll com-
plete this path in the first part of this exercise, and then load
it as a selection to add to our working mask.
