- Make another point and lop off the lower control handle. Make
your next anchor at the point where the dress material juts out
farthest, and drag as in Figure 10-32 to draw out the control
handles. We want the next segment to be a straight segment,
i.e., no curvature created by a control handle’s magnetic power.
Not only can you change the angle of a control handle inde-
pendently of its partner by Alt-dragging (Option-dragging) out
a new one, you can also get rid of a control handle altogether.
Alt-click (Option-click) the anchor point to lop off the bottom
control handle, as in Figure 10-33.

Figure 10-34.
- Click to create a tiny straight segment. Now that we got rid of
that control handle so we could make a tiny segment with no
curve, click (no dragging) at the next corner along the edge of
her dress. The result is the aforementioned straight segment,
unaffected by any control handles, as in Figure 10-34. - Make two more points to reach her belt. Drag from the newest
corner point, and a control handle emits as you drag downward
along the dress. Make two more smooth points to reach the top
of her belt. Alt-click (Option-click) on the last point to convert
it to another cusp point.
