Adobe Photoshop CS5 One-on-One

(やまだぃちぅ) #1

  1. Turn the completed path into a selection outline. Now that we
have a completed shape, grab the black arrow tool and click
the path to make it active. Then, in the Paths panel, click the
icon at the bottom of the panel, as indicated in Figure 10-36,
to load the path as a selection.

  2. Add the new selection area to the existing mask. To add our
latest contribution to the mask that we started in the previous
exercise, start by moving to the Channels panel. Click the Mask
entry to make it active. Make sure your foreground color is still
white (remember, we’re working to get a white model outline on
    a black background), and press Alt-Backspace (Option-Delete)
to fill the selected area with white. You can see the results of
    our progress in Figure 10-37.

  3. Save your work. We’ll finish this mask in the next exercise.
For now, press Ctrl+Shift+S (-Shift-S), save your file as My
hair with body.psd, and click OK.
